Have just watched a programme on the customer care side of this group who have 4 and 5 star hotels. Because of the negligently serious shortage of cleaning equipment and training of their staff customers were subjected to this: toilets, basins and baths followed by cups and saucers and glasses all cleaned with the same sponge cloth and wiped over with the previous nights pillowcases which were then used to wipe down mirrors and shower doors and any other surface including toilet seats. Cockroaches and mice in abundance and one housekeeper laughing because a guest had woken up with a rat in bed beside him. Dirty, unchanged bedding smoothed over for the next occupants and urine coated walls around toilet pans. The staff were encouraged to tear up negative guest comments and to fill out new ones with fulsome praise! Posh Hotels Undercover ITV 1 at 8pm.
